This show is so far to the left it's comical. You have the feminists complaining about women in video games, sexist micro-aggressions, Systematic Racism, Black Lives Matters protest, online trolling, 58.7% of the cast is gay, white privileged, etc. By Season 3, they will be demanding reparations for slavery. I haven't laughed this hard at a show since Jimmy Kimmel use to dress like Karl Malone on The Man Show.

It's a shame it's gotten completely ridiculous in its lame attempts at policitizing so many of the plotlines. I yearn for the Degrassi of old.

I agree with you! That was the reason I hated this season so much! I fear that it will only get worse in the following seasons! Shame... it used to be a good show!!

The show brings up good points that affect modern society. And a lot of these gross mindsets can be educated at that age when the brain's still developing. Past a certain point, it's almost impossible to get people to re-wire their ways of thinking. If you can't evolve with the rest of, then shut up.

You had me until the last line. The problem with SJW tack of this season's degrassi is it is so fascistic, not even caring about educating and reaching a point of understanding, just pious self-righteous bullying. The inability for many young people today to engage in respectful dialogue with people of differing viewpoints is terrifying.

The show has progressively become more ridiculous over the years. This season was a joke and heavy handed.

But I've watched it since "The Next Generation" I'll watch it til the end.

I agree it has gotten a little ridiculous. But they are trying. It sucks there aren't the same amazing writers as the first seasons that we all loved. As well as actors who aren't as great as the character we loved. But I will keep watching because once a degrassi fan always a degrassi fan

I disagree nytb1, I actually feel this season was a breath of fresh air after how heavy handed the previous two were with SJW pandering.

To be fair, the Degrassi series (at least as far back as TNG) has always been liberal/to the left, but at least it was more implicit in the past seasons/series. Religion and conservative feelings for example was always portrayed as wrong.

I agree with you though OP, it's gone so far left now that it's not even funny. This series is like a live-action television adaptation of tumblr.

They used to at least try to be somewhat balanced when presenting issues, but now they have gone all out SJW/left wing, to the point of being ridiculous.
