He negotiated the price down a bit... Maybe bought them some time (arguable)...
Also... He might be "stupid, but not lazy" π
He was the outsourced facetime so that JPG didn't have to talk to Gail in person.
At least in the movie, he found III in a somewhat timely manner.
Oh I dunno... he... err... umm... looked after the kids when Gail went to the museum to try and sell trinkets.
