Jon Shenk & Bonni Cohen talk film inspirations, tough interviews

The co-directors of the documentary talk about cris-crossing the country to tell the stories of Audrie Potts and Daisy Coleman, two teens who were sexually assaulted then were victimized once more on social media. Cohen and Shenk talk about why they were inspired to make the film, visualizing the unimaginable and how they got involved in the Potts' civil suit:

Kind of hard to do anything when the sheriff himself is blaming the girls for getting "not raped" or whatever he wants to call it. But apparently non consensual sex with a child is not rape to him. That's up the the lawyers.
