If you are not able to give your consent, verbally or orherwise, to have sex it is per definition sex. The sheriff's statements belongs in the middle age, or at least in another country where rape is ok.
He's actually going for re-election for sheriff so... Yeah he sucks I hope this movie opens peoples eyes

Omg I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Everything that was coming out of his mouth was beyond mental. He should be ashamed of himself. The thing that pissed me off the most was when he questioned if the girls were the victims. A town willing to reellect him is delusional. Never will I live in a small town/or a town who relies to heavily on the Stars of the sports team. Never understood it and never will.

How can he possible say that nothing that occurred that night was rape? Paige's rapist even admitted that she had said no, and he answered "yes" when asked if he raped her.
