Question about OJ the football player

I am 29 so don't know really how good he was. It is hard to gauge just looking st old school clips online. I'm just asking about OJ the football player. I know it's probably hard to separate the emotions and talk highly of the guy.

As a 29 year old, I grew up watching great running backs like Sean Alexander, Edgerrin James, Jerome Bettis, Marshal Faulk, Adrian Peterson(still playing). LaDainian Tomlinson, Curtis Martin, Priest Holmes, Eddie George. Just some of the greats I grew up watching.

OJ seemed like a large tall running back but had speed. Just curious for who watched him play, how good was he really.

He was one of the best of all time. I think his average yards per carry is still the best ever after Jim Brown. Two important notes: 1. They only played 14 games a season when O.J. played..so it's possible he would have broke even more records. 2. OJ played most of his career in Buffalo, yep, freezing Buffalo..and he still ran for all those yards/TD's.

Bottom Line: OJ Simpson was one of the best running backs of all time. An All Pro and Pro Bowler many times over. He broke many records, he was loved by millions. At one time he was 2nd on the all time yardage list. He even gained thousands of yards by receiving.

Unfortunately, OJ could not and would not allow himself to be overshadowed by younger, stronger black athletes, specifically Marcus Allen. Once OJ saw his glory fading he lost control and lashed out at the one person who knew how to push his buttons: Nicole Brown Simpson. THE END.

Shall we play a game?
