S01E06 Really... stupid ?

So!
In E05, I thought that the cab driver deciding to do something about the death of his friend wasn't really credible : the guy is an "illegal", doesn't speak English... and now in E06, he has been able to identify "a woman with a hoody" he saw just a few seconds, during his nap, weeks ago...
He knows her name, her address, and manages to B&E in her house? And if he knows who she is, he also knows she is a cop, doesn't he?
Guys like that keep a low profile. When something bad happends, they run, because it"s too dangerous for them to get involved.
And now, he goes after a cop ???
Like I said : "Really stupid"!

What's your take on this?

The guy that saw her in the hoodie when he was taking a nap is the guy that was already killed. He had been driving the cab illegally with his friends credentials. (or were they cousins?)

Marcella looked up the cab license and went to talk to the registered owner. He lied and told her he was driving the cab. She identified herself as an officer when she questioned him, so he knew who she was. After his friend was killed, he is the one that went to her home... figuring she had killed him to protect herself. I don't think she knows that there were two different men driving the cab.

The cab driver who she questioned and was killed had no idea who she was. She was testing him to see if he knew anything. All he knew is what the other driver told him
