Marcella truly terrible

There are many reasons that Marcella was awful. Firstly, she sacrificed her 'high flying career'.? Wasn't she a detective sergeant? Why is that high flying? Also, I got the impression her kids were at boarding school. Then there was the fact I felt I'd wandered in at series two. It didn't make clear who anyone was. Yet it acted as if we should know. The music built up, yet nothing worthy of tense music was happening. Anna Friel was rubbish too. She's had that much work done to her face, it affected her speech. And why was she walking as if she had a nappy on? I was looking forward to this, but it wad terrible

reply

Haha
I thought she was walking weirdly too and you're right about her voice. Very strange.
Wasn't aware she'd had her face modified though.

reply

Actually where were the kids?

It's that man again!!

reply

Ok I'll change it.

My plot outline was submitted before the first episode was broadcast and like all my plot submissions to IMDb is my reworking/rewording of text from official press releases, TV listings, interviews with the cast etc.

The phrases "high-flying" and "sacrificed" were taken from an article in a TV listings magazine published before the first episode was broadcast and containing extracts from an interview with Anna Friel on the set of "Marcella" during filming months ago.

Oh no, a show where you might actually have to think, watch and pay attention?

No show says this is Andy, he's one to keep an eye on the whole time. You watch, follow the journey.

I thought it was okay. Other shows have done this format better, but it was a solid pilot.

reply

This is the first series not the second
I thought anna friel was fine and didnt notice any facial work- she was always a pretty girl

Nothing startling here but ok watch

reply

Her lips look like they have filler in them to me. There is no way your lips are still plump like that once you hit your forties

reply

Yes, those lips have something going on, always mouth ever so slightly open to show those lips.
