What did Sylvie say to Henry in his cell ?

At the end she and her bitch visited Henry in his cell and she muttered something along the lines of " When you're dying slowly you will have time to work out that it was us "

What was that all about ?

they are rich and powerful and have connections both good and bad

they are going to arrange for Henry to have a nasty time whilst he is in prison

reply

They're going to pay some inmate to kill Henry.

reply

correct, which is so far fetched it's ridiculous.

They are telling him that he will be murdered in prison under ambiguous circumstances. However, this seems a little over-the-top because it's a bit difficult to accept (even for this series) that executives in a major British corporation would set up a killing.

It's ironic, as when Grace is missing and someone talks about a possible kidnapping, Sylvie retorts "This isn't South America!" or something like that. And then there's Jason arranging the killing of the authorizing board guy, mafioso style...

reply

That was not the instruction. It was what happened though.

Jason didn't arrange anything. He told the guy he wanted some dirt on the board guy. And told him to "take care of it," meaning get him that information. The other guy - the killer, who has MS and wanted a nest egg for his wife, took it to mean that Jason wanted the guy dead. Either hopefully - looking for a big payday for the hit. Or, intentionally - intending to blackmail Jason after the fact.

Oh she's going to kill him. Sylvia does not strike me as someone who's playing at all. She's going to make sure he goes down. And her husband will probably go goodbye as well.

I hope in S2 she walks in with a brand new piece of arm candy and casually mentions she was a widow but she got remarried.

This is another plot fail. There is no way that Sylvie would be allowed into Henry's cell unsupervised. I just laughed and laughed when she just ambled in there to make that threat.
