What really bothered me about the final was....(Spoiler)

....how Marcella gives CPR to Jason and gets him breathing again, and then the ambulance comes and one assumes he's taken to hospital. Well at this stage, he could have died in the ambulance on his way to hospital, what does she know, right? But she doesn't go with him to hospital, I think she goes to the police station (fair enough)....but even hours later she still doesn't go to the hospital, or asks about Jason or nothing, because you see her last scene at home going to bed, when the most LOGICAL thing would be for her to EVENTUALLY go to the hospital to be with Jason who must have received a life saving operation or to the morgue where his body would be if he had actually died from his wounds. Pretty illogical, no? .

She also didn't inform their children that their father was fighting for his life. [nope]

And Marcella's sudden indifference (?) about Jason's fate BOTHERED ME. 

She tells the detective that she sleeps with he will be out of surgery shortly so I think its assumed he makes it. She tells the same detective in the finally scenes that they almost lost jason also.

I think it was more like she knew he was in surgery and her hanging out at the hospital would do literally no good. On the other hand, she had to be actively combating what Henry was saying and find a way to nail him before he was released. Just because we didn't see something happen (calling the kids) doesn't mean it did not happen. They had plenty of things to tie up already without having to show those more mundane moments as well.

She didn't seem to remember she had children when she wasn't with them (neither did Jason).

Well, she wouldn't have been allowed to go with him to the hospital. She had just been accused of assaulting Henry. She was a suspect and a witness, at least for a while. When Laura told her to go, she may have gone to the hospital. That is how she would have known Jason was in surgery.

Regardless, I think the point of all this was to underscore the fact that she's obsessed with her work. At this point, she knows Henry is the killer and is at first hoping the arrest sticks. When it doesn't, she only has a few hours to find the evidence to keep him in jail. As someone else said, her sitting in the hospital waiting for Jason to get out of surgery would have been seen as pointless.

Also, as someone else said, neither Marcella nor Jason, seemed all that concerned with their kids when they weren't in the room. It's probably why they shipped them off to boarding school.
