Jason is so unlikeable

Hope he gets the Bag treatment

I just got through the third episode so I'll see what happens next week. The third episode was great, but I could sense there is more to that character as actions came off a bit phony. We'll see how things progress.

Yes, he's not just unlikeable. He's awful. But he did not begin that way.

The interesting thing is at the beginning, he was treated as a normal guy, hard working and successful who seemed shackled to a bit of a nutter.

He was somewhat sympathetic and even after the long-term affair was uncovered, it was easy to assume Marcella was a nut job, so he was staying at home in a dead marriage just for the kids, until they were older.

But by episode 4, he's now as big a nutter as Marcella!

Surprising character development there. Didn't see it coming.

He's just as ruthless now as Sylvie, now trying to blackmail her hubby into getting his job back.

And as an aside, were we now to assume that Sylvie's toy boy husband was in that marriage and home just as a way to be near her daughter, rather than Sylvie?

Seems so.

I finished the 4th episode, which was good, but it forced a lot of things. Peter getting caught so early obviously let us know that he wasn't the current culprit.

I don't think they'll go the Broadchurch route of Jason being the real killer, but I still am preparing myself for something equally dumb.

Jason's annoying the hell out of me. So unlikeable. I hope they do do the "Broadchurch" effect and him be the killer. I don't want him killed as that would be too much trauma for Marcella

He's such an hypocrite I want to punch him. He's so jealous of her and Tim's friendship and yet he had an affair for 3 years. Really

reply

Jason is disgusting. He's been cheating on his wife for years, he treats her like crap, and then he makes scenes because there is a guy who likes her.

Mr. Pinnock plays the role of Jason very well. I can't stand his character.
