I find it merely competent, and therefore forgettable. I jotted down an analysis of the problem in this thread:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt5269594/board/nest/260068028?d=260068028#260068028
I'm glad it's there for people who like it, but to me the writing and directing is lackluster. The premise is interesting and has lots of potential, but the actors can't elevate the uninspired written material and directing approach beyond the mediocre. S2 holds no draw for me; there's better fare elsewhere.

I read your view from that link on your post, In what way do you think none of the actors can't elevate with the material
Well if you don't want to watch/see the second series it is up to you
I think they can't elevate the material because of the evidence in S1 that they can't, which I outlined in that post.

But maybe they can for you in the second season, Watch a 1/2 episodes before making up your mind
shareI might. But life is so unfairly short, and S1 showcased thin material. A full season's worth of time and close attention to that sort of thing is already pretty accomodating.

Yea life is unfairly short I agree, However I did say to watch 1 or 2 episodes consisting of 47 mins each......I'm sure that wouldn't take to much of your time up
Where you from Whatlarks
47 - 94 minutes of life available to spend doing something potentially worthwhile, and the only sacrifice is not watching 1 or 2 episodes of a mediocre TV show. That's a good deal.

That sounds very OTT, If you don't like the 1 or 2 episodes of season 2 then you won't have to watch them ever again
Where you from Whatlarks?
Speaking of OTT, someone tells you their personal limit, and you keep pushing. You'll just have to accept differences.
The time and attention I gave the show was more than fair. Also fair is my judgment that it's unlikely I'll enjoy more of it, given awareness of things I feel are more worthwhile I could devote that time to. It's no consolation for wasted time to know I don't have to waste it again.
I never give out personal info.

I keep pushing oh give over, I'm just saying to give it a chance for the new season
I mean many shows that some people were annoyed etc about a first series of something and then by the second it hit it's stride
But if you don't want to then no one has a gun to your head, As for not giving out personal info- I only asked where you was from not what your home address was or your phone number/bank details now those are personal info
You're "just saying" after someone has "just said" no thank you a couple of times, and given fair reasons. We'll just have to leave it there.
For me, personal info includes where I'm from in terms of nationality or town. I like to have total anonymity on this site. Again, we'll have to leave it there.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy S2.

Fair enough we shall leave it there then, It is over the top to not even say what nationality your from or what country lol
I'm sure I will enjoy season 2- and btw I'm from the UK.....I'm sure me putting that won't put me in any danger
My motivation isn't to avoid danger. I just enjoy total anonymity. It forces people to deal only with what has been said, no distractions related to anything personal. That's just a small pleasure, not anything OTT.
But someone might actually have experienced a serious threat, and if I knew that I wouldn't want to have mocked them for choosing total anonymity. In that case their choice would also not be OTT, but quite sensible.
One of the great values of drama is that it lets us live in another's reality for a while, which challenges the natural tendency to think our own reality is the most fitting standard, applicable to all.
Well if that's what you want to do that is fine, Not a distraction just called making conversation.....Now that I have told you where in the world I'm from- I won't jump off topic to that subject matter
If someone does experience a serious threat then they should get the police involved simple really
So what other British Series do you watch?
What I currently watch, a favourite British series, is The Great British Baking Show, but it's not a drama. Scott and Bailey. Silk. The Fall for 2 seasons but won't watch further. I've enjoyed Dr. Who on and off. Torchwood. Utopia. Enjoyed The Bletchley Circle. Sherlock's first two seasons, felt the quality slipped in three. Downton Abbey for a few seasons; stopped after Matthew died. Watched a few episodes of Jekyll and Hyde, found it terrible. My favourite mini-series is Bleak House. The Hour was so-so. Happy Valley I liked except for the climactic scene. River was all right. A few episodes of The Bridge. Several seasons of Doc Martin. Luther. Broadchurch. Loved Life on Mars. The original House of Cards. Upstairs Downstairs. A few episodes of Jack Taylor. The Office. A few episodes of Peeky Blinders. Some of Black Mirror. Some of Wallander. Some of Last Tango in Halifax. Some of Poirot. Others, can't recall at the moment.
