5/10 disappointed
Normally I like British crime dramas but I can't say there was anything in this show that really stands out, perhaps the acting, hence the rating of average.
Troubled characters can be appealing but marcella never proved to be interesting or even a good detective. The murder mystery was lukewarm and It never seemed to find its own momentum.
I don't think it's a terrible show but I feel like this show will either connect with you, for whatever reason, or not. There wasn't anything, to me, that makes this show great beyond its acting and other technical aspects.
