The killing (us version) is great.
Wallander and Luther are terrific as well. They all deal with law enforcement agents with some... mental health issues but brilliants none the less

I 'third' that, The Killing is great! A flawed female detective protagonist investigating a murder. But at least with this series, there may be red herrings but there aren't huge plot holes.

I'm not sure if you mention The Killing as a suggestion to what to watch or if you mention it as in The Bridge = The Killing. Anyhoo... The Killing is not the US version of Bron/Broen (The Bridge). It's the US version of the Danish series "Førbrydelsen" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0826760/).

I'd say RIVER, but only because the lead detective is a lunatic too. How does River and Marcella walk around clearly bonkers but still allowed to solve crimes? Lol

They're so good, they other chalk their lunacy to their being "eccentric." Though, in Marcella's case, her boss is her friend who excuses her behavior because of her daughter's death and the falling apart of her marriage.

I don't trust people who don't like pets and I don't trust people who pets don't like.

The Fall is amazing!

And Luther as mentioned above.

Both have bamf female leads and dark/interesting male leads.
