the Johnny character

I have some sort of hunch that because this is a live musical going to air on ABC that they will end up casting Derek Hough as Johnny as he already has a contract with them and several years back Derek was already in talks to do a feature film remake with Kenny Ortega directing again but I think the movie was scrapped.

OP: I do like your idea of Channing Tatum as Johnny, and I know where you are getting it from with the whole Magic Mike Dirty, Sexy, Stripper Dancing he was doing but I have a feeling that they probably won't cast him because they just hired Abigail Breslin who is only just a barely legal adult at 19, whereas Channing Tatum is almost two decades older at 35! Though, Jen and Patrick only had 8 years between them, so I guess anything is possible. Another hunch I have is that Channing Tatum is too famous to take on that role, I mean he is an A lister and he has sure one some pretty big awards though. He sure is hot though. I agree with you there!!! Yes, it's a nice idea, OP, but for some reason I think Derek Hough will get the part. It's ironic right before I read your post I was just coming over here to do my own post :)

Apparently Colt Prattes was just cast as Johnny.
