I like all the new characters except for the Robot. There's more character development especially for Maureen, John, Judy and Penny. Those same characters in the original show didn't do much. Maureen, June and Penny cooked. John and Don fixed things. No real interaction.
Original Smith, Will and the Robot were great, though.
I didn't watch the original when I was young and have no nostalgia for it, the new one is better. My wife did watch the original and loves both versions.

Its pretty much your average boring soap opera sci-fi series that they make now a days.. With stale characters that are interesting as watch grass grow. If i want to watch a sci-fi show with great character development. Ill watch Babylon 5
