The camp and weirdness are what made the original show great! Well, not great but fun.

The trailer doesn't promise one smidgen of fun.

The original was serious at first, which I preferred, but when the campiness kicked in I liked that too, but not all. The super-duper-weirdness (talking giant carrot, space troubadeer etc)was a bit much for my pre-teen self.

I'm not really worried about it per se since I see my movies for free so they can destroy it all they want for all I care cause Hollywood won't see a cent from me. It's only the devote fans that will do the work for me if they are destroying said franchise. I'm just happy both provide me entertainment. :)
