Scientifically speaking, are a greater percentage of female...

... players homosexual than males?

An interesting subject for sure, although it may be hard to definitively find an answer given the reluctance of male players to "come out".

Although, is that still a thing in this day and age? Most people like to identify as gay these days so maybe younger male players do openly have their status available for comparison.

Typical. Expected some sort of immature response. You didn't disappoint...

Well, you did. But you get the expression.

YOU POST WAS THE IMMATURE BIT...YOU SOUND LIKE A FUCKING MORON...AND INTOLERANT MORON AT THAT...SERIOUSLY...BE BETTER. NOEMOJI

reply

No, this is just your usual behaviour.

Please go and find the SJW thread of the day and do your usual upper caps baiting there instead. I'm not interested...

I was reading an article re a female player and this struck me as an interesting question. Unfortunately, as I suspected, for some this means a Pavlovian requirement to start frothing at the mouth and getting all excited.

I'm not interested in that, I was interested in whether anyone knew if there was a proven statistical correlation, as per the OP.

reply

I AM FINE WITH YOUR POST AND QUESTION...NO PROB,BOB...THE PROBLEM BEING THE DENSE AS FUCK LAST BIT YOU VOMITED OUT..."Most people like to identify as gay these days"...THAT IS FALSE,INTOLERANT AND STUPID...DO BETTER. NOEMOJI

reply

Like I said, not interested, take your schtick elsewhere 👍

reply

AWW...IT'S ADORABLE THAT YOU THINK SAYING THAT WILL HAVE ANY IMPACT OTHER THAN GIVING ME AN ERECTION. NOEMOJI

reply

I thought you were female. You certainly come across that way.

reply

THANK YOU. NOEMOJI

reply

He's right though.

Bored middle-class people are increasingly identifying as part of the 'queer' community.

Dye your hair blue and hey presto, you're an oppressed minority. That's the appeal.

reply

GOOD POINT...HEY...I HEAR SOME STRAIGHT PEOPLE FUCK THEIR DOGS...SO YOU KNOW...STRAIGHT PEOPLE ARE DOG FUCKERS. NOEMOJI

reply

What people do in your household isn't my concern.

reply

NEITHER IS RATIONAL THOUGHT. NOEMOJI

reply

Agreed, rational thought also isn't what people in your household do.

reply

AGREED...THE PEOPLE IN MY HOUSEHOLD ARE ASSHOLES WHOSE POLITICAL AND PERSONAL BELIEFS ARE QUESTIONABLE AT BEST. NOEMOJI

reply

You should tell them to identify as queer.

reply

THAT WAS A VERY STUPID THING TO SAY. NOEMOJI

reply

Because they're already queer?

reply

YOU TALK LIKE A TRUE JACKASS. NOEMOJI

reply

When did your family first realise they were queer?

reply

YOU SURE BELIEVE YOURSELF TO BE A LOT MORE CLEVER THAN YOU ACTUALLY ARE. NOEMOJI

reply

I only need to be more clever than you. So the task is an easy one.

Now tell me about your queer family.

reply

SO YOU SEEM TO THINK...BUT...A QUICK READ OF THIS EXCHANGE WILL SEPERATE THE FACTS FROM JACKASSERY. NOEMOJI

reply

Agreed.

QUEER,QUEER,QUEER,QUEERS...THERE...JUST TO EVEN THE PLAYING FIELD OUT A BIT FOR YOU. NOEMOJI

Couple of interesting articles for any adults actually interested in the topic:-

https://www.itv.com/news/2019-07-07/womens-world-cup-why-are-more-female-professional-footballers-gay-or-bisexual-than-their-male-counterparts

41 openly gay players at the last Women's World Cup (2019) compared with none at the last men's tournament!

Is it "easier" for women footballers to come out?

However, both more or less pointing out the inequality in open gay players exists rather than addressing if there are a greater percentage of gay players in the women's game over the men's and, if so, why that would be.

reply

I'd say it's more the case that it's harder for men to come out.

reply

But if they did find it easier to come out, do you think the underlying percentage of male gay players would be the same?

Or could sporting pursuit be something which is more closely correlated with homosexuality in women?

reply

Womens sports are chockfull with lesbians.

I've known for a while now that football has tonnes of them. MMA is another that has quite a lot of lesbians. I believe Basketball is the same?

Tennis doesn't seem to have as many though? Athletics also seems quite hetero dominant.

Interesting that those two are probably historically the most "accepted" women's sports I'd guess.

So maybe there's nothing to push for in these sports and therefore has a smaller percentage of people who perceive themselves as on the fringes.

reply

Probably has something to do with hormones. Maybe female athletes in general have a higher level of testosterone than non-athletic females. That's probably why there could be a higher percentage of homosexuality in female sports.

reply

TESTOSTERONE DOESN'T MAKE YOU WANT TO EAT PUSSY. NOEMOJI

reply

Other studies with fewer test subjects have found conflicting evidence, but their smaller subject pool potentially exposes their studies to more in the way of sample error.

I'm not even sure if that would be a "maybe". A higher testosterone level certainly helps athletic performance, pretty much why World Athletics banned intersex athletes like Caster Seymenya from competing in certain events.

However, I'm not sure if homosexual women in general have been shown to have higher testosterone levels on average. If so, I guess that would confirm what I was wondering.

reply

I heard in the WNBA 30% of the players identify as queer.

reply

Incredible stat that, if true.

Maybe would back up the hypothesis that homosexual females, seeing themselves as outliers, may be more forthcoming in pushing themselves into traditionally male dominated areas.

reply

Possibly. Or maybe they're just more open to coming out than men are because men may feel it's not "macho" to come out. Just a guess though.
