Under political dispute.

Right wing fanatics are swarming to lower the user rating for this movie, after the director and cast denounced the coup d'etat against brazilian democracy. None of them watched the movie.

reply

If by "right wing" fanatics you mean the vast majority of the Brazilian people, then yes.

A "coup" that was legal, decided by elected officials and with the support of the population, and the vice president and now president was actually voted into office.

Your standard for democracy must like that of Venezuela.

reply

Excuse me, you are " the vast majority of the Brazilian people" just in your dreams.
Stop your blocks in FB and you realise the truth

reply

The vast majority of your neighbours, probably.

Brazilian left disgusts me.
The lack of common sense, reality, character and education is really disturbing. Living in their own little, perfect universe, far away from reality.
It's senseless to argue with sheep.

A movie made with corruption money in Brazil.

reply

people were brainwashed by a very corrupt media and try to punish the picture because the cast stand for democracy, that is very sad

reply

There's no coup in Brazil, Impeachment is under the law.
Dilma broke the fiscal responsibility law by delaying repayments to state-owned banks.

here, let me draw this for you to understand: https://theintercept.com/2016/05/23/new-political-earthquake-in-brazil-is-it-now-time-for-media-outlets-to-call-this-a-coup/

Glenn Greenwald is a joke.

reply

Yes, and it shows nothing else that everyone involved in corruption is being investigated and the media is showing it. So what?

I would be surprised if they weren't trying to take over. They all have to go down the same way PT is going.

reply

You are just spamming this article everywhere you can, aren't you?

This joke of an article is written by one well known leftist that only does articles to defend this joke of a corrupt government. You should take a walk and think about life for a bit.

The Guardian is probably paid by PT too, right? http://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/may/23/brazil-dilma-rousseff-plot-secret-phone-transcript-impeachment

You are absolutely right. I don't know if you're American, but if you are, I'm sure you're used to this kind of right-wingers, these people are Tea Party material.

For non-Brazilian people:

You can google about the coup in Brazil.

This is no place to discuss politics, though. People write a "comment" that is not a comment, but an attack against the movie without having actually watched it!

reply

You people must be completely crazy !
This is a moviegoers' forum, NOT a political forum.
I have seen the movie, liked it in spite of a few flaws. I see absolutey no connection to politics in it, just a subtle description of Brazilian society, if you call that politics you are just nuts.
The manoeuvers of the real estate company are IMHO very soft. Worse things happened in London in the 70's and other worse things were depicted in the French movie "de Battre mon coeur s'est arrêté". That is whistleblowing perhaps, but not politics. There is also no connection whatsoever between the description of a Brazilian family and current Brazilian politics, unless you want to see politics everywhere.

SO STOP DISCUSSING POLITICS ON IMDB. THIS IS NOT A POLITICAL FORUM.
