When reviewing, please keep in mind

This is a BRAVO show. In fact, this is one of their very first scripted shows. So when you're reviewing (and skewering) this show, the actors and their acting, the set/setting, props, budget value, etc, just keep in mind that...they're all new at this. This is a low budget TV show compared to big network shows like NBC, ABC, you know. The network can't afford big names, designer clothes and elaborate sets. Take it at face value. Don't compare it to its big network counterparts, because that's not what it is.

How is this relevant? Context is an explanation for quality, but it doesn't make something better than it is.

If it sucks it sucks, excuses don't change that. Not saying it does suck, I haven't seen it, but I won't be pretending it's better than it is because they couldn't afford better.

I have no idea what BRAVO is, or any of the networks you guys have over there. I judge a work on its own merit, like it should be. It's not like everyone they hired to make the show is new in the business either.

What a PRIZE DOOFUS. Bravo is owned by parent company NBCUniversal, and IS a "big network" station. The only reason Bravo usually LOOKS cheap is because of what corporations call BRANDING. But it has access to as much funding as it needs, and certainly can get appropriate funding for shows every bit as 'flash' as on NBC.

You must have missed "Girlfriends Guide to Divorce" (in its 5th and final season) and "Odd Mom Out" (returning for its 3rd season) - both are Bravo scripted shows. Well done and funny, too.

By far, the most idiotic plea for help which I have read in 2017!

"The man from earth" was a budget movie and one of the best i've ever seen. So i really don't see your point.

reply

The Man from Earth had a good idea, but as far as acting and cinematography it looked really weak, like some film student's coursework.
