I know some people aren't into it because it's a wee bit slower in pace then Homeland etc but I'm digging the denser Le Carre/60-70's style espionage plotting.

Me too! I love Homeland but this is a bit different, you're right. But I like it!
I loved the TTSS movie...haven't read his books but heard great things about them.
