In the end BS was a lot of BS

I must say that the ending to BS was quite disappointing. Frankly I started having my reservations about how things would resolve themselves when Hector's rebellious and irreverent character suddenly turned civil and righteous.
Hector sans snarkiness was difficult to accept and was also boring. What happened to the ruthless guy who savagely executed Frau Iosava? The transformation was too sudden and too drastic and diminished the most interesting character in the series. I also could not understand DeVos' suicide, which seems in retrospect to be pointless.
Unfortunately the finale seemed to be throwm together in order to explain too many plot lines which difficult to follow and ridiculous. To think that the best part of the series. the Iosava Affair, was merely a MacGuffin or in CIA terms a eyewash was really a copout.
Finally the ending, which had Daniel Miller in a pool of blood, seemingly dead, only to be seen later recouping in a hospital was so poorly done that it had to be clarified in the post show by the writer & producer. The need for the two to do a complete recap of the entire episode seemed to acknowledge the confusion that was created.

The ending was kinda not as well done as expected, not sure I liked it as much as I could have. But we did come full circle to the very start of the series and see why they were being hunted and why the dude got shot.

Not to mention it was a huge dig at the little known CIA practice of eyewashing and what kind of *beep* up it would lead to when you lie to your own people. We saw nothing but in fighting and lies covering up other lies, then you wonder how do any intelligence agencies manage to get their *beep* together for a day to do anything right.

Hector on the other hand...he is the kind of guy that always has another play up his sleeve. As we see in the end, the dude is all an act and we don't really know what the hell he is doing. They hint at him being so good at it that he can even pass the lie detector when he is all high on drugs, he still passed it like a boss.

No it wasn't. Not since la Carre's A Most Wanted Man have I enjoyed something so much. It is what Homeland should aim for. Hector was a great character - rebellious, ruthless but wanted to help with broken lives and all the lies. Of course, he would savagely kill the killer who killed the woman he loved. He probably didn't realize how much he indirectly killed her once you've been given details in the finale. DeVos' suicide was expected. He couldn't live in another jail and he couldn't live without Hector. You know somebody was going to go off a high place with the do you want to jump or fall. The eyewash was very interesting. And there will be a S2 so they keep some of their characters. But it was confusing. I did have questions - where did Iosava end up with palm trees and Kirsch getting approval from headquarters to run Golda. And the CIA director...

As you said "it was confusing".With all the threads in the story it was hard to tie them all in the end. But again the Hector Transformation was a bit hard to fathom. I understand he was outraged by the hypocrisy but his "softening"was hard to accept. Also the Iosava Affair was the most interesting plot line in the series and yet it was ultimately meaningless.
