Good acting and directing too. Shows just how dirty each U.S. 'Spy' agency can be... They even spy on each others spies.
It is so well written you can 'smell' the writers have informants within the agencies. I have always thought the U.S. had too many agencies who never seem to work or co-operate with each other, this shows it is true..
Looking forward to S2, which will begin production in spring 2017 for a late 2017 release.
Yes I very much enjoyed Berlin Station and loved the first season overall. It has very intricate plotting, kept you guessing and paying attention and most of all it did a great job of depicting the workings of the agency, the assets they forge, the way they use them up and discard them like inhumans.
Anyway great stuff all around, I'm not sure how season two will go down after the mess that was made in the Berlin Station and uncertain what the effect of certain people's evil/unethical motives will be now that have been brought to light.
For coming from the this new media form EPIX, it was a very well made production all the way through. Very good spy stuff and not that artificial James Bond crap, the real workings of the intelligence agencies I find fascinating even if a bit oversold.
I loved the show Rubicon that was unfortunately killed after season one, it was one of those shows where you must pay specific attention to every detail, still all these years later I'm still mad at AMC for axing it. That and HBO's Deadwood are the two only knife to the heart shows for me.
In today's age you go into a show expecting one season and if it happens to get renewed it's a nice surprise.
