Everything a good horror film should be.

I found this movie disturbing, unnerving and unsettling. That says it gets its point across and WORKS at making you feel uneasy.
This is a work of fiction but many of the sleep problems here have roots in true experiences. Frankly I dont fully understand why the IMDB ratings are so low. It deserves far better ratings.
This movie has NO publicity and no major studio backing. In MY opinion it is being released at the WRONG time for this type of movie. I like "lighter" movies and good holiday movies which are becoming extinct.
The only REAL release at this point is online. There are a VERY SMALL amount of theaters that actually picked this up and by me there is only one theater with one afternoon showing and again, no publicity. The girl that sold our tickets didnt even know they had it or anything about it. I found it on IMDB.
Since I dont let ratings determine mt viewing habits, I decided to check it out. I am MORE than glad i did.
I feel the description could be a bit better. It is about a family that is experiencing VERY SEVERE sleep disorders and particularly their young son who experiences some sort of "demon" when he sleeps, but the whole family is having major issues during their sleep.
The issue here is that the "therapist" who is supposed to be helping them has her own "baggage" when it comes to nightmares and sleep problems. This is hardly what this family needs. For a time, I got angry at how the situation seemed to be blamed on the father (who was just a victim of a problem) but when a closer look and logic prevailed, it was obvious that he was not responsible for his seemingly irrational behavior.
The movie kept my attention the entire time. From an unknown cast, the action was VERY good and the boy at the forefront of the story did a great job at delivering a genuine performance of a kid who was terrified and plagued with an overwhelming problem.

Be prepared to be a bit uneasy after seeing this. It is not for kids to see, particularly if they are easily frightened at night. This movie is UNRATED so just a "heads up" about not letting kids see it. As an adult it is disturbing enough.
It will be released on DVD in January or you can watch online or download at Amazon.
Also check local theaters the week of Dec 1st
