Terrible dialogue
I played the games so I liked it, but besides the confusing timeline jumps (which were somewhat understandable as they were telling several stories and backstories all at once in a single season), I felt it was also let down by weak dialogue at times. I've been re-watching early seasons of GoT again and it's amazing how they made even the minor characters interesting through their dialogue.
In The Witcher, there's just too much dialogue that either ends up going nowhere, or a character asks a question and the other character answers something completely different, then something else happens and they get distracted and abandon the conversation.
I hope next season will have more meaningful, engaging dialogue that enhances and develops characters rather than just acting as filler in between scenes.
