Dull character

The weakness about this film is that the central character is dull. Mark Felt may have changed the course of history, but his portrayal here is that of a faceless suit in the FBI. Liam Neeson is trying his best, but even he can't lift this film. Compare this with The Post or All the President's men and you will see how poor this film is.

He seems pretty interesting to me, but you have to watch his eyes carefully to read his thoughts.

I felt the post was a dull screenplay.

All the president's men was exciting--but this is also bc a newsroom esp w positions (now gone) like researcher are breakneck. You have to do things the computer is not there for.

I ordered this movie on blu-ray out of curiosity, and I haven't gotten a chance to watch it yet. I'm starting to regret it since there are so many comments saying that the movie is dull.

Oh I see. I actually liked The Post, myself. So maybe I will like this Mark Felt film too.
