Pretty neat how they used an old TOS clip with Pike and Spock on Talos IV where they met this girl named Vina and the Talosians in the episode 'The Cage/The Menagerie'.

A big difference between Captain Pike and Captain Kirk is that Captain Pike never laid a hand on Vina. Captain Kirk would have had sex with Vina the first chance he got and then used Vina's stary eyed afterglow to his tactical advantage!

I'm really liking the whole Season 2 of the mass extinction event premonition given by the Red Angel to Spock. Reminds me of the Voyager episodes with Species 8472 where the ships look similar in shape (missile-like). Anson Mount is also the perfect actor as Pike.

I'm digging the whole Star Trek / Mass Effect crossover. I never would've expected the Reapers to make an appearance.

How is the show set 10 years before the original series? This episode takes place after???
