I really hope James Wan will direct in this one too. I enjoyed Annabelle even though it had its downs but I really hope Annabelle 2 will be something out of the ordinary. As far as I know, James Wan is the best horror director there is.
I'll say his movies are DEFIITELY an 'acquired taste'...slowwwwwwww burners (and I do mean SLOW). When I first saw The Roost on a lazy night after the club I fell in LOVE...the TV host excerpts during the movie, the old fashioned direction...I IMMEDIATELY thought this guy is going places and started following his future movies.
I skipped Trigger Man, but BLIND BOUGHT House of the Devil on Blu Ray....was severely dissapointed. Too much "filler" and not enough story and scares. Could've worked as an episode of an anthology better with a super short run time.
InnKeepers wasn't much better. Awesome concept & location, slowwwwwwww movie.
he disowned Cabin Fever 2 due to Studio Interference...but truth be told, the attempt to UP the pace might've helped an otherwise dull film.
I see his career has "downgraded" to episodic TV according to this bio..maybe he's better off since the running times are shorter.
---- Im gonna punch you in the cooter, I swear to God!
Trigger Man is a very interesting film, but at the same is also quite experimental (as in probably only a handful of pages of dialogue. He does have a film coming out this year, which is a Western, so I am interested to see how he pulls that off.
To imaginepovver....James Wan never directed Annabelle the first movie and not this one either, but he did direct Conjuring one and two and the first two insidious movies but never Annabelle one and two and not insidious three either, but he did produce the ones he havent directed himself but that doesnt say much.
