Location, Location, Location

I always like to find the locations of the castles used in these 'Cinderella' movies that are filmed in Europe. This one had the location of the movie in Bucharest, Romania.

The castle itself is Cantacuzino Castle which is located in Busteni, Romania. The view of the town is the same as from the front terrace, which also has a couple of greenhouses. The back of the castle was used for the snowball fight and most of the other outside scenes.

The one 'goof' if you want to call it that was the location of Max and Allie's midnight ride. The view when they stopped was actually the church on the island of Lake Bled in Slovenia.

A Princess for Christmas was filmed at the Peles Castle in Sinaia, Romania.

Lucky actors getting to travel to these lovely locations!

Yes, beautiful setting. Thanks for the info.

It's good to dream

Interesting.

My thought is what exactly does a king do these days in fantasy location in Europe or wherever. The Queen of England barely does much and she seems a bit more productive than most European royalty.

Apparently, in real life they sometimes can even have a normal job (or next-to-normal) - I learnt some time ago that the queen of Denmark, I believe it was, is a book illustrator...

"There is Robinson, alone on a deserted island - but they will marry."

If you ever get the chance to visit Slovenia, you must!!! Lake Bled is the most beautiful place...especially in summer. The church is on the small island at Bled. Very touristy area in the summer. Loved this movie because of the locations...Slovenia especially.
