shareMy favorite was the late night horseback ride thru the country. I'm always a sucker for those initial "really getting to know each other" quiet interludes. Those scenes make or break a romantic movie like this. If the actors have chemistry and the scripting is decent, then the romance becomes believable. Here we see the king was more comfortable being a normal person in NYC and watched over his kingdom at night. (In a longer more serious movie, there would have been an easy transition to some big political/economic conflict that showed he was a better ruler than his father.) Not to mention the kingdom was gorgeous at night.
Second favorite was the snowball fight when the King shows he's really a human being underneath that crown.
Her first kiss with the king. Loved it.
shareWhen she is changing into the cook's dress and the cook is telling her how a romance like the one she had with a past young man (totally Fergus) was as rare as an eclipse of the moon and Allie is all 'you do know there's several eclipses in a year, right?' It's a cute little twist on that hallmark cliché and really enjoyed that 4th wall break.
