So Syd won't let David kiss her because of her power, she switches places with them (temporarily). But doesn't that seem like it would kind of cool to do with a lover? I mean when you are making love don't you wonder how it feels for the other person? They could have the most intimate lovemaking of all if they switch bodies. And she always goes back into herself after a short time, so what is the big danger of them touching? Instead of a danger, it seems more like a bonus.

I mean they obviously both touched the other's body when their minds were switched. He was feeling up her boobs. She said she used the bathroom, so don't try to tell me she wasn't playing with his body, even a little. Curiosity would win out.
At that time they were under too much stress to really enjoy the switch too much, they had more important emergencies to deal with. But in a relaxed and safe environment, I think they should go for the switcheroo and enjoy it!

Ya know, I wondered what the big deal would be too. Obviously it'd be weird and literally an "out of body" experience and all that...but once you got over the initial shock of it, what's the problem? If two people loved and wanted each other enough I feel like they'd get over it and at least try, haha

I am still suspicious of Syd though. I think there is still something else we don't know or realize about her yet, and maybe this is part of it. We haven't seen anything totally devastating about her body swapping, but that doesn't mean it's not there...perhaps we just haven't seen it yet...because if not...her powers aren't that dangerous, in my opinion.

Also, I'll admit, when they all went into his memory and Melanie told her her powers don't work there without her physical body I kinda muttered to myself, "oh they're totally gonna go back there on their own and just do it in his head," XP

p.s. it ain't no coincidence she keeps thinking of that mini-sex scene she saw in his astral plane (wow, that kinda makes it sound even dirtier, hahaha)....just saying...

I agree, her power isn't all that dangerous. It can be useful, but it's only temporary and it doesn't kill or harm anyone.
Although it might be more dangerous for her than for her swap-mate.What happens if the swap-mate dies before they each return to their own body?
Like what would happen if that evil scientist she swapped with had been killed by David when Syd's mind was still in him? Would her mind then die too, along with the body she was in at the moment? And the evil scientist would survive and have control of Syd's body forever?

Another question, if she only has the power while she is in her own body, then does the swap-mate also have her power when they are in her body? Could this cause a daisy chain effect?
Like imagine hypothetically (with made up names):
Syd swaps with Adam.
Adam has Syd's power temporarily, and swaps with Ben.
So Syd's mind is in Adam, Adam's mind is in Ben, and Ben's mind is in Syd.
Then Ben has Syd's power, so he swaps with Carol.
Could that happen?

OR, ooh I just got this idea.... what if Syd swaps with another woman, and then she CAN have sex with Ben using the other woman's body because she doesn't have the power in that body. Although that wouldn't be very cool to use someone else's body like that.

I had the same question, what would happen if The Eye or whomever had died, while swapped with her? Would it take her with them? I think the answer to that is the same as for your hypothetical...we just don't know enough, yet, about her powers to say.

I'd imagine, if she keeps being a prominent character (and isn't a part of David's mind), we'll get some backstory on her eventually where things might be explained more. Or, again, maybe they're keeping her power vague on purpose, to later have some reveal or twist with it. I'm just not sure and I'd wager not many do because the information just isn't there, it's all supposition and yours is as good as mine!

And yes...while I'm sure Ben would be thrilled to get laid, using some lady's (or man's) body to those ends is just a wee bit messed up, lol! Plus, it's hard enough for her to even screw her own boyfriend let alone someone else....

Hey, maybe she's just taking Oliver's advice and going back to that whole Free Love era ;)

Obviously, we've pointed out there are ways to get this two to bang, glad we're getting to the real important stuff. But it is odd that her powers haven't been that explained, I feel like we've gotten enough of it from the others powers...why not hers when she's pretty much the second most important character? Like I said, kind of suspicious.

They did look fairly intimate in next week's preview so maybe those two crazy kids will finally just do it (don't sue me Nike, thanks) ;)

I have to assume that her powers grew as she was growing up, because how could she have it from birth and not switch places with her mother? Can you imagine switching places with your baby as it is being born and then YOU have to be born from your own womb?

That would be seriously disturbing. It was messed up enough hearing Ptonomy remembering his own birth. Good god, that'd all be so horrifying!

It would be interesting to see just when Syd realized she had a power and what that power was. David was fishing for that info, but man, she wasn't terribly excited to give it up, hah....not surprising, mutants seems like they'd have a peculiar sort of vulnerability.

Someone on reddit pointed out that most of the mutants that surround David have powers that in some way relate to intimacy in one way or another. I thought that was an intriguing insight or way of looking at it.

Lol, I came on here to say the same exact thing. They can still have sex! For practical reasons, it would probably need to be a bit more scheduled and less spontaneous for them than other people, but they sure don't have to resort to celibacy.

I thought the same thing. They could totaly switch places! But we don't know what happens when she and the person she switched with touch again (or do we?). If that person has her power, maybe they'd just switch back? Also, look what happened last time she and David touched. I think it might be too dangerous to try again.

Does her power work in the astral plane? Because that would be interesting, to say the least. Though I suppose you wouldn't want to have a threesome with Scary Neck Man, lol.

It's the The Piemaker and Chuck all over again. I don't think I could handle another tactile challenged couple, that has to resort to plastic wrap and whatnot (though they were adorable).

Hah! Worth it! But on the note of her power being dangerous...I suppose really it's not HER power that's the danger here. It's her assuming David's. Like Mina said, look at what happened the last time she switched with him. Someone got murdered in a wall, so yeah, I think it's more who she swaps with that is the question or problem.

She's still not right in the head after being in David's mind and body so I can't really fault her for not wanting to go through that again, but I mean, we know it'll happen eventually, probably sooner rather than later!
