Ouch. -58% weekend drop. Dropped really hard against Toy Story 4 :(

Man, it doesn't look like the film is able to stabilise at all. It actually even dropped to 5th place against a rampant Aladdin which amazingly rose to 3rd place. In terms of disappointments, I think this film is starting to look like the biggest one of the summer. There's no way it's able to match the originals $875m global total. In fact it's dropped a lot from the previous in many foreign markets.

I know Disney is suffocating the entire box office with their domination but I really thought Illumination Entertainment would be able to buckle that trend and carve their own niche as they've always done. It's a shame really :(
