Didn't see this one coming

Papillon is one of my all time favourites, I watch it on regular basis. I never would have thought that they would try to remake it. It's such an exciting, well made and complete film and has aged really well, propably needless to say, but this remake is pointless.

But I have never been against remakes, what's the worst that could happen? the movie is terrible and we forget about, but the original will gain new fans as more people discover it once again. And if we're lucky we'll actually get a good movie that'll still make people discover the original.

So if it has to happen I guess I'm fine with it. At least I like the two leads.
