In S4, E5, there is a scene between Marty and the FBI boss Hannah Clay - she's bitching to him about something and he says "don't worry, you'll get your money" - for what? Why do the Byrds have to give the law money? What have I forgotten/missed?

Thanks in advance, and please bear in mind, I haven't seen episodes 6 and onwards.

Also, anyone else love that Wendy Byrd smile that she gives? So false, but so real....! Great performance from Laura Linney..... 👍🙂❤

If I'm not mistaken, he was providing periodic information on shipments of money so they could seize the money and look good...

Yeah, Laura Linney was made for this role! She was also good at those false but real expressions in The Truman Show as well. Maybe that's why they cast her? :-)
