Pretty Heavy Symblism
I think there's some deep stuff going on in this movie, I'm not great at reading it but the color yellow, and some of the stuff she's saying while narrarating
shareYea, same here. I watched this last night and was amazed at how low the score was. This packs a heavy punch. I plan on watching again and digging deeper. Gothic Horror is generally about Life(And how fragile it is), Tragedy, History Repeating and definitely Visual Symbolism. However, this seemed more of an Exercise in Existentialism than I was expecting. The correlation between the Written Word telling a Story versus the use of Photography/Television etc was also at play, which obviously ties in with the themes of the Genre. It was just a well crafted film IMO. A lot to look at
