Just NO! . . . .

If you are thinking this will be an adventure because it's a Netflix Original - Don't!

IMO - It is THE most boring movie I have ever watched (and re-watched since I kept falling asleep.) And friends, I am 47 and have seen A LOT of movies.

I don't get the storyline. I don't get the murders and/or deaths (OK, well I get one of them.) I don't get the characters.

Yes, the "photography" is lovely. BUT I promise - it's still not worth the watch. Just watch the stills - it's EXACTLY like watching the movie. Walking, talking, moving, reaching . . . IT'S SOOOO SLOW!! To the point that it actually made me angry, and not in a good way.

I agree with the OP. When I finished the movie I went back to the beginning because I was sure I must have missed something. Nope. Just Ruth Wilson walking around for a few hours and a voice over speaking in hushed, haunting tones. I liked the look of it. That's about it. And I'm 38 if that's relevant.

The most creepy thing about the film, in all honesty, was the subtle hint (and immediate spoiler), where they have an effect on her voice-over sometimes, making it sound kind of "breaking up" and disjointed, like a bad, fading signal. It kind of clued me in right away that the voice over character was dead, talking to you from "beyond the grave". Though the film also spoiled it early on by stating "she would never be 29".

All in all, one of those films that is more of an "experience", and isn't really telling any kind of coherent story.
