How could Lily even become a nurse/hospice Nurse? no way!

i assume nurses/hospice nurses have to pass some type of mental health test/counseling before actually becoming a licensed(?) nurse since they have to deal with the most tragic/heartbreaking situations. the whole time i'm watching this movie it bugged me because Lily was so meek/scared/uncomfortable/etc. in dealing with Iris (and Iris was not a hard to look at/hard to deal with patient!!). Lily looked like she was going to cry/pass out right off the bat in her dealings with Iris.

i don't know, i understand it's just a movie but Lily being a hospice nurse is harder to believe than the fact that there are ghosts in the film. lol.

Lily was not at all meek with the old woman. She was matter of fact, in charge of things, yet pleasant. Remember the way she got the old woman back to her chair in her room, and then tells her matter of factly but compassionately, "Now, if you want to get up again, you can't do that without me. Can we agree on that?" And she corrects the old woman's repeatedly calling her Polly. She also calls the man to request the wall with mold be repaired. She's not timid at all. Don't let her politeness fool you.

She seems really good at her job. Calm, confidant, able to take the quiet and hours of boredom, compassionate. And very comfortable. I could tell this was not her first rodeo, and the narrator even tells us that.

That's the way I saw it. But in any case, we are seeing what the ghost tells us, you know. We are not seeing an objective video of the way things really were, necessarily.
