Beautiful movie
I hated how the artistic troupe played such a huge role in their lives. Putting a part time hobby ahead of a marriage seems absolutely insane to me but at least they played their role in the end. Mae Whitman was fantastic in this. I fell in love with her empathetic voice and her character. The intimate moments really felt authentic. Martin Starr did a great job as the nerdy programmer obsessed with statistics and replete with mental idiosyncrasies . The clash of personalities between the two made for compelling viewing. I thoroughly enjoyed it and don't understand why it scored so low. This is a solid 8 from me.
edit- I saw the first 20 seconds of the trailer and knew it was worth watching. Having seen the movie and watched the entire trailer, I'd recommend not looking at the trailer as it gives the whole movie away. Well, if you want to enjoy it. It's a good rule of thumb nowadays.
