shareThe grandmother is in a female body, so I assume they go after women, too. I'm sure they aim for whatever somebody wants. So, if somebody says, "I want to inhabit the body of a twentysomething woman," they probably go find that body.

I would assume that they would go after a hot young woman too. As to why grandma was older, could be a few reasons. She might have "relocated" awhile ago and her body might have aged. Or, perhaps she was more comfortable in an older body. Or, maybe availability. It's also possible that technological limitations put a bracket on things; maybe you can only go up and down a couple decades. If the last option is true, maybe it used to be that way (age needed to be similar) but the ritual/tech was improved and now (at the time of the film) it's more age-fluid.
They would go after all types, though, I think.
There are many possible explanations. These are as good as any.
