Movie couldn't decide what it wanted to be..

I really blame Jordan for this. We have aspects of the movie that entirely conflict. At one end you see some black comedy elements and absolutely ridiculous scenes and then you see horror aspects in others. It could have been made to be more frightening. I would have liked to see more psychological horror and hallucinations/nightmares while Chris was under hypnosis influence.

Also as others have wrote, Chris turned ''violent, too quick'' - that's true. More time should have been spent under the influence and manipulation of the family before he got to that point. The movie seemed to be missing a lot of the building blacks to get Chris to act in that manner.
