It was impossible for him to get that cotton in his ears cuz he was tied up

He leans forward when he attempts to bite the restraints around his wrists. It's not impossible that he could also lean forward and put cotton in his ears.

Cotton also makes for terrible earplugs. I've tried it. You hear right through that shit. They should've had him pull pieces of foam out.
