Horror movie 101 clichès included on purpose?
Like:
*Chris standing somewhere in the house at night and behind him in the distance a figure walks by from right to left with the requisite orchestral STING! to jump scare the audience? (I almost had to laugh when I saw this, thinking, "Are they really serious? Is that a parody now of all the thousands of instances where we have seen this in horror movies over the decades?")
*Chris in the garden looking up at the window and seeing the black maid in the room doing some secret thing, and again the STING! from the orchestra!
*Talk about the film score: The music somehow came across so clichèd and as typical "horror/thriller" music as if it was meant to be ironic in some way. Or am I mistaken here...?
