the acting is horrible. the characters are unrealistic. los angeles is more diverse than portrayed on the show. might be that way if you never leave inglewood.

Plus, would it hurt to discard the stereotypes? Not all black people use crude language conversationally and love rap.
Artistically, Insecure is just more of the same ol'-same ol' but with cursing and without a laugh track. Like Siskel and Ebert used to say - Two thumbs down.
Where does this show claim to be a representation of all Black people? So should they not curse at all and listen to classical music
