Tried to read the Alexandria Quartet a couple of times, unfortunately my attention wandered. I leared about Durell from Anais Nin's diary. Strange times.

He did become very well known. In fact, contrary to how he is portayed in this series, he was already a quite succesful writer before they went to Corfu.
