Is PBS presenting the entire episodes, unedited, in the USA?

I've been burned before, for instance having watched all seasons of CALL THE MIDWIFE on Netflix, only to find out that they only offer pretty heavily edited versions, different from what was shown in the UK, and even shorter than the edited ones PBS showed. Then I read that the same is true of the versions PBS shows of SHERLOCK. I hate this crap, and am about ready to end my subscription to Netflix. So, does anyone know whether PBS is showing the entire original episodes of THE DURRELLS IN CORFU, or whether they are edited/shortened also?

Just make a movie that makes me care, one way or another. I'm open.

They famously did the same with "Downton Abbey", which is when they got caught. Don't know if the same is going on with the Durrells. PBS has a lot of begging and bragging to fit into every hour, so it's quite possible we're being shorted.

Actually, PBS' version of Downton Abbey had more content, not less.

No, Downton Abbey was very famously edited to be shorter on PBS, which was widely reported in newspapers at the time. That's why you can get DVDs that have "Original UK Version" written on the cover, so you can be sure you're getting it uncut.

The fact remains that the "Original UK Version" does not include scenes that were shown on PBS. This was also "famously" reported at the time. Here is a reference:

The version on the DVDs sold in the US is the UK version, which is why it says that on the box. Despite the DVDs coming from PBS, it is not the version that air[ed] on PBS....S1 was changed from 7 episodes in the UK to only 4, removing and rearranging many scenes. There were a handful of added scenes as well. [In S3, PBS] padded out the hour with “added” scenes, scenes that did not make it into the UK version.

Also, the IMDB "Downton Abbey" forum discussed this issue at length - at one time there were links to YouTube clips of the added scenes posted each week after the initial PBS airing
