Wierdest show ever.

I cant tell if this show is Good or bad, all i can say is that it does not know what type of show it wants to be.
On One hand there is the drama which is kinda well written, but they mix in "humor" where it does not belong.
During the heavy drama scenes people suddenly starts crackig " jokes" and the laugh track is just wrong for this type of series.
The type of set they use which looks like a theater set is fine for a Comedy but wierd for the drama.

So this show is all over the Place and dont blend anything together well.
If they threw out the set and the bad jokes i think this would have been a great drama, and if they threw out the drama i think is might have been a worse show but atleast not wierd.

A lot of comedy sitcoms touch on serious matters. Roseanne addressed gay rights issues back in the early 90's, when it was still taboo to discuss gay rights on prime time, let alone have gay characters. Maude had an abortion in the 70's, when abortion's legality was still state and not federal. Both were heavy topics for their genre.

I think part of what's throwing everyone off is the regular profanity with the laugh track that's used. It's the first time I've heard heavy profanity with a prime time laugh track. It seems like one shouldn't have the other, but it doesn't bother me.

Maybe, but I find that John From Cincinnati to be the weirdest show I've enjoyed.

I don't get it either. In a show where the four leads should total more than the sum of it's parts, this show falls flat as a pancake. The comedic timing is way off. The drama is one note and thin. This show could be firing on all cylinders and it's sadly not. I can forgive the language, it's alittle over the top. But the drug/alcohol humor is excessive and the sex humor is base and perverted.

What happened to the snappy direction and timing from the director of That 70's show?

The charm is missing from this show. It's just clunky and awkward.

You don't want the sex, drugs and alcohol content, but want it to be more like That 70's show? Of which a lot of it was sex, drugs and alcohol?
