Good, but STOP with the laugh track!
The laugh track really takes away from this show.

It's not a Laugh track, that's a real audience in a studio
shareI think it's a moot point, real or not. The whole point is that after any sort of comedic punchline, if people laugh, you pause and let them settle down.
That pause needs to exist in the script, if you don't fill it with laughter you're going to get really awkward scenes no matter how funny the line was. Live studio laughter helps to justify that your jokes are actually landing, but the laughs need to be there whether people like being told when to laugh or not.
That said, you don't necessarily need to leave the pauses after jokes in the first place. Plenty of shows do not and it's not always a problem.
Even with a real audience, there is still a laugh track being used on this show.
shareI don't notice the laugh track, but that's probably because I'm laughing. Generally, though, I don't think the style of comedy would work at all without a laugh track. Shows that lack a laugh track have a certain kind of cutting and filming style that works in place of the laugh track. I suspect I find that kind of filming as annoying as you find the laugh track.

I agree. I watched 5 minutes and then went to see if this was some old sitcom that had been resurrected. Even if it is a live audience, I don't want to hear it. I didn't think what they laughed at the first 5 minutes was funny at all. Just distracting. I'm out.
shareAgreed, this could be decent without the fake laughing. If it is an audience, which is doubtful, then they forcing the laughter with the laugh now sign. Either way, it's very distracting, especially when the jokes aren't funny.
A mediocre show with people I like. I'd watch more than a few episodes without the laugh track.
Glad i'm not the only one annoyed with the laugh track; it's not needed, even if it is in front of a live audience. The cast and the fact that it's uncensored makes it decent enough to continue watching after the first episode. Great to see Debra Winger again.

It is a live audience. As to the fact that some think they are laughing at jokes that are not funny, when they have a live audience, they give them backstory, and let them in on the context of the scene they are about to see. That is most likely why they laugh at things that others are not laughing at. They have moments between the shots to hear the actors being themselves, and seeing the things that usually we only see in the outtakes or the blooper reels. They are most likely having a good time before the scene is even recorded warming them up, and they are still going off that humor when the sound is recorded adding to the intensity of the track.
