Does Mahershala Ali still have a shot at the Oscars?

Or will the corrupt hack Weinstein will ensure that he loses? 

No.

The Weinsteins don't have the power they used to anymore. Last year, "Carol" and "The Hateful Eight" should have been shoo-ins for multiple nominations and each barely got a handful. I imagine, as assured as the win was, it was difficult for Weinstein to get the voters to finally give Ennio Morricone the win.

As for Mahershala Ali, I think he's still the frontrunner. If it isn't him, I honestly doubt it'll be Dev Patel, but Michael Shannon, who garnered the same level of critique that All has. Jeff Bridges seems more like a "just glad to be nominated" type of performance and Lucas Hedges has his entire career ahead of him.

There's a difference between a differing opinion and a forced one.
