With all the hype, I was pretty disappointed in this movie. Don't get me wrong, it wasnt terrible. It just wasnt anything fantastic. I think I only laughed once. I know it's more of a study in humor than a comedy itself, but something was just missing. Gillian Jacobs really stood out, but none of the other characters were likable. I wasn't rooting for any of them -- and maybe that was the point.

shareIt could certainly be overrated, given that it's got a 99% on Rotten Tomatoes and "universal acclaim" on Metacritic. But I personally thought it was quite good: 8/10

I agree I actually thought it was okay gave it a 6 because it had some good moments but overall it was very flat and predictable. 100% agree that Gillian Jacobs was the stand out not only was her performance the best thing but she was written as the funniest character and was ironically the only one that wasn't interested in going further than their improv group, that was actually the most clever thing about the film.

I didn't hate it, but I didn't find any of the characters funny, interesting, or likable. The only time I laughed was when the stoner chick told the skinny chick that it took nine years for her to make her doodle book.
