Her persistence in hiring the gay music director is such a setup, as is her emotional fragility with the family. I kind of don't blame her for her suspicion toward Kevin, because I imagine creeping is the first thing that comes to mind when one spouse appears to be hiding something. But she's not going to want the gay in her house, and I don't blame her under the circumstances. Kevin should either say he was surreptitiously shopping for something expensive, then buy her something, or come out as "bisexual". It would be an interesting story arc if they downgraded their marriage to monogamish. It will never happen, but it would be an interesting twist.
