The Black Lives Matter storyline
Im only on ep 4, but i hate that its a remorseful black cop and not whats really going on in the streets. were they to scared to use a white cop?

Black lives matter only seems an issue when a white person kills a black person. Not a word about black lives matter when thousands of black people get killed in Africa by black people. I don't see anybody going on the streets for that. Very hypocritical.

To the 2nd poster, when blacks March and protest it's not always about the loss of life. It's what the perceived lack of a fair and impartial investigation may be. Black thug #1 kills black thug #2 and is caught, he won't get off on some perceived vias. But white cop shoots black suspect, historically there has been precedent of the blue wall closing ranks

You don't have to go to Africa. What's happening in Chicago is also frightening. Still, one can be concerned about cops killing black men in high numbers as well as be concerned about Africa or Chicago or whatever. Concern for one does not cancel out concern for others. People tend to care about what is right in front of them. Plus the cops killing black men over men of other colors could happen anywhere in any city and it really needs to be addressed.
Re: a white cop as the cop killer - a white cop would not want to come to a black church. It would be too desperate and fake. This black cop was a member of the church which is what made it more realistic. share
THE BLM is NOT about everyday killing. It is specifically about the abuses of cops against the black community and the disparity in how they interact with blacks vs. whites. There are PLENTY of organizations that address other types of violence.
Again BLM IS ABOUT POLICE BRUTALITY against black citizens in the USA.
